We're Not Just a Service.

We're a Family That Understands.

Eyecare Support Worker Services was built from lived experience โ€” not a business plan. Every decision we make is guided by one question: "Would this be good enough for our own family?

THE NAME BEHIND THE MISSION

Eyecare = I Care. It's That Simple.

When people hear "Eyecare," they sometimes think we're about eyes, but we are so much more...

Eyecare is a promise wrapped in a name: I Care, We Care, and We Look After You.

It means we see you โ€” not your diagnosis. We hear you โ€” not just your plan number. And we fight for you โ€” because that's what you do when you truly care about someone. Our name goes far deeper than that. It's the foundation of everything we stand for.

Meet Anita Connolly

โ€” Founder & Director

Anita didn't start ESWS because she saw a gap in the market. She started it because she lived the gap โ€” for over 33 years.

the primary carer for her son Cameron, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a young child, Anita has experienced every aspect of the disability journey firsthand: the early diagnosis uncertainty, the endless therapy coordination, the NDIS paperwork battles, the sleepless nights, and the fierce advocacy that never stops.

But she's also experienced the triumphs โ€” and there have been many.

After briefly working as a Support Coordinator and Support Worker for other NDIS participants, Anita realized her true purpose: using her knowledge, skills, and lived experience to ensure that every person with a disability receives the quality of care they deserve.

In early 2021, Eyecare Support Worker Services was born โ€” a company built on the principle that every person is treated as an equal, every employee is looked after, and every participant receives support with the same dedication Anita gives her own son.

Anita has spent years fighting for advocacy, rights, and entitlements โ€” and she's not stopping anytime soon.

Our Mission:

To provide safe, structured, and participant-led NDIS disability support that promotes independence while protecting families from unnecessary risk. We deliver support worker services that are accountable, transparent, and grounded in lived experience.

Our Vision:

A disability support environment where:

  • Families feel safe and heard

  • Participants direct their own lives

  • Safeguarding is proactive, not reactive

  • Independence is sustainable

  • Advocacy is strategic and respectful

We envision a system where disability support services prioritize both compliance and compassion.

Our Core Values:

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Safety First โ€” Safeguarding is non-negotiable. We prioritize participant wellbeing through structured oversight and careful worker selection.

๐Ÿ’Ž Integrity โ€” We operate with transparency, honesty, and accountability in everything we do.

๐Ÿค Respect โ€” Every participant has the right to choice, dignity, and control over their life.

๐Ÿ’š Lived Experience โ€” Our service model is informed by real-world disability care โ€” not theory alone.

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Family-Centred โ€” We recognize that disability impacts entire family systems, not just individuals.

๐Ÿ“ข Advocacy โ€” We support families in navigating complex NDIS systems with clarity, confidence, and courage.

What Makes ESWS Different From Every Other Provider?

We've been where you are.

Most NDIS providers are built by business professionals. ESWS was built by a mother who spent three decades in the trenches of disability care. That's not a marketing angle โ€” it's our DNA.

Here's what that means for you:

  • We know the NDIS system inside and out โ€” because we've navigated it as a family, not just as a provider

  • We understand the emotional weight โ€” the guilt, the exhaustion, the worry about the future

  • We fight harder โ€” because we know what it feels like when someone doesn't fight for you

  • We hire carefully โ€” because we know the difference the right support worker makes

  • We never forget that behind every plan number is a human being โ€” with dreams, fears, and potential

Cerebral palsy is where our deepest expertise lives โ€” it's the journey that built this company. But no one is left behind at ESWS. Every disability. Every family. Same passion. Same dedication. Same fight, with 33 years of experience!
